Who Are We

"Loving Your Neighbor in Election Season” is a 2026 election cycle project to equip Michigan faith leaders with resources for prayer and action.  Our ecumenical coalition includes leaders from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, United Church of Christ, The Episcopal Church, The United Methodist Church, and the Presbyterian Church (USA). These denominations include over 1300 churches with trusted messengers across the state.

 

As historic Christian traditions, we are called to witness and uphold the teachings of Jesus Christ, which are founded on love, truth, justice, and mercy.  Human dignity and the equality of all people under the law are core to our tradition. Therefore we uphold democracy, including voting and public civic engagement.  The 2026 election cycle is an important moment in American history.  Loving neighbors includes defending democratic systems and protecting every eligible voter’s right to participate and be counted.
